Facts about Commercial Sexual Exploitation (CSEC):
• The Department of Justice estimates the most frequent age of entry into the commercial
sex industry in the United States is 12-
• Approximately 325,000 children in the United
States are subjected to sexual exploitation each year
• According to a 2007 report from the NYS Office of Children and Family Services, over 2,200 children are victimized through commercial sexual exploitation in NYC
